About the Position
The IT Manager is expected to be a hands-on team member as well as overseeing and managing VitalPaths’ Twin Cities (4 sites) IT infrastructure. The IT Manager will provide technical support, both hardware and software, for VitalPath staff as well as lead and build an ongoing relationship with our 3rd party MSP (managed service provider). This role will be responsible for providing Tier 2-3 support to our employees, hardware provisioning, network infrastructure support, and ensure processes are in place for IT related incidents. The IT Manager will work cross-functionally with various site leadership to establish and execute IT strategies and technical support, in partnership with our 3rd party MSP. Identify opportunities for savings, without sacrificing quality of services or reliability of IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support for VitalPath employees at our 4 site locations (Maplewood, Roseville, New Hope, and Cokato) including desktops/laptops, printers, phones, conference room equipment, network equipment, etc.
  • Install applications and software on desktops and servers as needed.
  • Manage user profiles including adding/removing users, access provisioning user access levels.
  • Monitor and maintain company website, handling any issues that may arise promptly.
  • Coordinate the procurement of hardware for new users.
  • Act as VitalPath’s relationship manager with 3rd party MSP, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Liaison with 3rd party MSP in regards to escalated technical support issues, IT ticket management, and cost-effective hardware solutions.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with alternate hardware providers for competitive quotes.
  • Design, support, and be VitalPath’s subject matter expert for any IT improvement projects or process initiatives.
  • Coordinate the provisioning and purchasing of network equipment (firewalls, switches, cabling, wireless, etc).
  • Manage licenses for O365, SolidWorks, and other business software.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices, polices, and regulations
  • 5+ years of experience in providing technical support including setting up and/or troubleshooting hardware pcs, laptops, software applications, network hardware, servers, printers, and other office equipment
  • 5+ years proven experience in IT Management, preferable in a leadership role
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (O365)
  • Hardware/Software troubleshooting
  • Experience in managing licenses and access controls
  • Ability to travel to all VitalPath locations
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
